Fairfield never let their opponents score on Thursday. They came out on top in a nail-biter against the Burbank Titans, sneaking past 2-0. The Falcons haven't had any issues with the Titans recently, as the game was their fifth consecutive win against them.

Not much got past Trustin Mitchell, who gave up just three hits and racked up six Ks to keep Burbank off the board. Mitchell has been nothing but reliable on the mound: he hasn't given up more than one earned run in eight consecutive appearances.

At the plate, Fairfield saw three different players step up and record at least one hit. One of them was Devin Knox, who went 1-for-2 with one stolen base. Knox has been hot recently, having posted at least one stolen base the last four times he's played.

Fairfield's victory bumped their record up to 12-7. As for Burbank, this is the second loss in a row for them and nudges their season record down to 11-8.

Fairfield didn't take long to hit the field again: they've already played their next contest, a 3-0 loss against Pioneer on the 17th. As for Burbank, they also wasted no time getting back out on the field and have already played their next game, a 12-6 win against Cordova on the 20th.
