There's no place like home for the Northern Bedford County Panthers, who bounced back after a tough loss on the road last Wednesday. They walked away with a 50-38 win over Tussey Mountain on Monday. That result was just more of the same for these two, as Northern Bedford County also won the last time the pair played back in January.
Tussey Mountain's loss came despite a true team effort from the offense, with many players turning in solid performances. Perhaps the best among them was Adyson Weyandt, who scored six points along with four steals. The team also got some help courtesy of Cara Benton, who scored 11 points along with three steals.
Tussey Mountain struggled to get the ball back on offense and finished the game with only three offensive rebounds. That's the fewest offensive rebounds they've managed all season.
Northern Bedford County has been performing incredibly well recently as they've won six of their last seven games, which provided a nice bump to their 13-6 record this season. As for Tussey Mountain, this is the second loss in a row for them and nudges their season record down to 11-7.
Northern Bedford County will be playing in front of their home fans against the Bulldogs at 7:15 p.m. on Wednesday. As for Tussey Mountain, they will head out on the road to square off against the Indians at 7:30 p.m. on Wednesday. Hopefully Southern Fulton focused on turnovers this week since the team gave up 13 on Monday.
