They simply couldn't be stopped on Saturday as they easily beat John Paul II 68-35 on the road. That 68-35 margin sets a new team best for Timpview this season.
Timpview found their leader in underclassman Dean Rueckert, who scored 28 points along with three steals. That makes it three consecutive games in which Rueckert has scored at least 25% of Timpview's points. Another player making a difference was Mason Ford, who scored ten points.
Timpview now has a winning record of 5-4. As for John Paul II, they have traveled a rocky road recently, as they've lost five of their last six matches, which put a noticeable dent in their 12-14 record this season.
Both teams are looking forward to the support of their home crowds in their upcoming games. Timpview and Wasatch will face off at 7:00 p.m. on January 3rd without much rest after finishing up games yesterday. The matchup should be an exciting one, as these teams are ranked near one another in Utah (Wasatch is ranked 49th, while Timpview is ranked 35th). As for John Paul II, they will be playing at home against Brentwood Christian at 4:30 p.m. on Tuesday.
