Howland has enjoyed the comforts of home their last two games, but now they'll head out on the road. They will challenge East at 7:00 p.m. on Tuesday. Both teams come into the matchup bolstered by wins in their previous matches.
Howland scored the most points they've had all season to find success on Friday. They put the hurt on Lakeview with a sharp 66-41 win. The victory was all the more spectacular given Howland's disadvantage in MaxPreps' Ohio basketball rankings (they are ranked 355th, while Lakeview is ranked 103rd).
Howland relied on the efforts of Alex Henry, who scored 13 points along with five rebounds, and John Perry, who dropped a double-double on 12 points and 14 rebounds. The game was Perry's third in a row with at least ten points. The team also got some help courtesy of Chris Fenton, who scored eight points along with five assists.
Meanwhile, even though Boardman scored an imposing 58 points on Tuesday, East still came out on top. East took down Boardman 75-58. The victory made it back-to-back wins for East.
The win got Howland back to even at 3-3. As for East, their win bumped their record up to 3-1.
Howland took their victory against East in their previous matchup back in January by a conclusive 56-31. The rematch might be a little tougher for Howland since the squad won't have the home-court advantage this time around. We'll see if the change in venue makes a difference.
