The Summerville Bears's recent rough patch got a bit rougher on Friday after their tenth straight loss. They were beaten by Sonora 71-39. The result was an unpleasant reminder to Summerville of the 39-19 loss they experienced in the two teams' previous head-to-head fixture back in January.
Adeline Hanson was her usual excellent self, shooting 4-for-10 from deep and almost dropping a double-double on 26 points and nine assists for Sonora. As a matter of fact, that's the most points Hanson has scored all season. Another player making a difference was Taylor Faught, who scored 17 points along with four steals.
Summerville has traveled a rocky road recently having lost 13 of their last 15 matchups, which put a noticeable dent in their 8-14 record this season. As for Sonora, the win was the third in a row for them, bringing their record for this year to 14-12.
Both teams are looking forward to the support of their home crowds in their upcoming games. Summerville will take on the Mustangs at 7:15 p.m. on Tuesday. Argonaut is coming into the matchup on a five-game losing streak. As for Sonora, they will look to defend their home court on Tuesday against the Red Hawks at 7:15 p.m.
