If the Etna Lions were feeling good off their 54-32 takedown of the Tulelake Honkers last Thursday, their most recent game may have dampened their spirits a bit. Etna wound up with the same score they had in their last game (54-32), but sadly the team found themselves on the wrong side of the score this time. They have not had much luck with Trinity recently, as the team's come up short the last six times they've met.
Trinity found their leader in underclassman Kloe Kist, who scored 22 points. Kist is on a roll when it comes to steals, as she's now grabbed two or more in the last nine games she's played. Chloe Albiez was another key contributor, scoring nine points.
Etna has traveled a rocky road recently, as they've lost four of their last five matches, which put a noticeable dent in their 5-11 record this season. As for Trinity, the victory was the third in a row for them, bringing their record for this year to 10-7.
Both teams will have to hit the road in their upcoming games. Etna will square off against Mt. Shasta at 7:00 p.m. on Friday. Mt. Shasta has now lost ten straight, and the team is hunting for their first win since December 2. As for Trinity, they will head out on the road to face off against Modoc at 7:00 p.m. on Friday. Hopefully Modoc focused on turnovers this week since the team gave up 27 on Tuesday.
