Grayson is a perfect 10-0 against South Gwinnett since March of 2021 and they'll have a chance to extend that dominance on Monday. The Grayson Rams will host the South Gwinnett Comets at 5:45 p.m. The timing is sure in Grayson's favor as the squad sits on three straight wins at home while South Gwinnett has been banged up by 15 consecutive losses on the road dating back to last season.

On Friday, Grayson needed a bit of extra time to put away Newton. They narrowly escaped with a victory as the team sidled past Newton 4-3. The home team had taken home the W every time these teams have met since April 14, 2023, but that streak is no more.

Grayson saw five different players step up and record at least one hit. One of them was Deuce Smith, who scored a run while going 3-for-4. Those three hits gave Smith a new career-high. Amari Batts also deserves some recognition as he got his first hit of the season.

Meanwhile, South Gwinnett scored first but ultimately less than Grovetown in their match on Friday. They lost 11-5 to the Warriors.

Christopher Frazier was cooking despite his team's loss, going 1-for-4 with one home run.

South Gwinnett's loss dropped their record down to 1-7. As for Grayson, their win bumped their record up to 7-5.

Grayson took their victory against South Gwinnett when the teams last played back in March of 2024 by a conclusive 15-0. Does Grayson have another victory up their sleeve, or will South Gwinnett turn the tables on them? We'll have the answer soon enough.
