Greater Latrobe enjoyed a cozy 67-49 win over River Valley. That's another feather in the cap for Greater Latrobe, who also won these teams' last head-to-head.
When it comes to explaining why River Valley lost, one person who can't be blamed is Ava Persichetti. Despite the final result, she scored 24 points along with 3 steals. Persichetti scored a full 49% of River Valley's points, the second time in a row she's earned more than a third of the team's points. The team also got some help courtesy of Alessia LaMantia, who scored 8 points.
Greater Latrobe's victory bumped their record up to 2-0. As for River Valley, their loss dropped their record down to 1-1.
