Esteban Diaz made a splash while hitting and pitching. On the mound, he tossed five innings while giving up just two earned (and six unearned) runs off six hits. The dominant performance also gave him a new career-high in strikeouts (four). He was also big at the plate, going 1-for-2 with one stolen base and one RBI.

Meanwhile, Windward can bid farewell to their three-game losing streak thanks to their game on Wednesday. They narrowly escaped with a victory as the team sidled past Kearny 4-3.
Windward's win was their fourth straight on the road, which pushed their record up to 8-5. The road victories came thanks in part to their pitching effort, having only surrendered 3.0 runs on average over those games. As for Olympian, their win bumped their record up to 10-3-1.
