While Apex put up some points on Monday, the same can't be said for Green Hope. The Cougars blew past the Falcons, posting a 28-0 victory. The Cougars' offense stepped up their game for this one, as that was the most points they've scored all season.

The win made it two in a row for Apex and bumps their season record up to 5-2. The victories came thanks in part to their defensive effort, having only surrendered a grand total of 0 points in those games. As for Green Hope, their loss ended a three-game streak of wins at home and dropped them to 6-3.

We've got plenty of inter-conference action coming up soon. Apex will challenge rival Willow Spring at 7:00 p.m. on Wednesday. Meanwhile, Green Hope is set to square off against their familiar foe Panther Creek at 6:00 p.m. on Tuesday. The two teams have allowed few points on average (the Falcons 11.1, the Catamounts 7.6) so any points scored will be well earned.
