Winning is always nice, but doing so behind a season-high score is even better (just ask Central). They blew past the Mastery Charter Hardy Williams Knights 60-22 on Friday. The match was pretty much decided by the half, when the score had already reached 35-9.

Central found their leader in sophomore Stevie Hall, who went 9 for 16 on her way to 19 points. Those 19 points set a new season-high mark for Hall. Another player making a difference was Ava Yancey, who posted nine points and seven rebounds.

Central was working as a unit and finished the game with 19 assists. That's the most assists they've managed all season.

Several Knights players turned in solid performances despite ultimately coming up short. Perhaps the best among those players was Alice Fayemi, who scored eight points.

The victory was the third in a row for Central, bringing their record for this year to 5-7. Those victories came thanks to their offensive performance across that stretch, as they averaged 51.7 points per game. As for Mastery Charter Hardy Williams, their defeat dropped their record down to 5-7.

Central wasted no time getting back out on the court and has already played their next contest, a 46-38 win against Masterman on the 13th. Mastery Charter Hardy Williams has also already played their next game, a 33-30 victory against Franklin Towne on the 14th.
