The Cabrillo Conquistadores won the last time they faced the San Luis Obispo Tigers, and things went their way on Tuesday too. Cabrillo walked away with a 49-36 win over San Luis Obispo.
Cabrillo's success was the result of a balanced attack that saw several players step up, but Angeliyah Gonzalez led the charge by scoring 17 points along with three steals. Another player making a difference was Rylie Jenkins, who scored 14 points along with four steals.
Cabrillo's victory bumped their record up to 15-5. As for San Luis Obispo, their defeat was their third straight at home, which dropped their record down to 10-12.
Both squads will have to hit the road in their upcoming games. Cabrillo on the road again on Friday and play against Mission College Prep at 6:30 p.m. on January 26th. Mission College Prep will be looking to extend their current four-game winning streak. As for San Luis Obispo, they will head out on the road to take on Santa Maria at 6:30 p.m. on Thursday. Santa Maria is coming into the match on a four-game losing streak.
