The Franklin Knights posted their biggest win since December 27, 2023 on Thursday. They blew past Meadville, posting a 51-23 win on the road. Given Franklin's advantage in MaxPreps' Pennsylvania basketball rankings (they are ranked 261st, while Meadville is ranked 662nd), the result wasn't entirely unexpected.
Franklin was led to victory by Estella Adams and Katie Boal. Adams scored 12 points along with six rebounds and five assists, while Boal dropped a double-double on 12 points and 13 rebounds. Boal is absolutely dominating the block category: she's posted at least two every time she's taken the court this season. The team also got some help courtesy of Kirsten Hicks, who scored ten points along with eight rebounds and two steals.
The win makes it two in a row for Franklin and bumps their season record up to 10-6. As for Meadville, they still haven't won a game yet this season and fell to 0-13.
Franklin will look to defend their home court on Monday against Corry at 7:00 p.m. As for Meadville, they will head out on the road to take on Oil City at 6:00 p.m. on Monday.
