The Neshoba Central Rockets have made a habit of sweeping their opponents off the court, having now won 14 contests by 22 points or more this season. They simply couldn't be stopped on Friday as they easily beat Ridgeland 81-37 on the road. Winning may never get old, but Neshoba Central sure is getting used to it with their 16th in a row.
Neshoba Central found their leader in underclassman Kyli Truss, who scored 21 points. The match was Truss' third in a row with at least ten points. The team also got some help courtesy of Lanayah Henry, who scored 12 points.
Neshoba Central pushed their record up to 18-1 with that victory, which was their ninth straight on the road. They've been dominating during the games in that stretch too, as they've won by an average of 30 points. As for Ridgeland, their loss ended a three-game streak of wins at home and dropped them to 9-7.
Both squads are looking forward to the support of their home crowds in their upcoming games. Neshoba Central will take on Vicksburg at 6:00 p.m. on Tuesday. Vicksburg will have to bring their A-game into this one, as they are staring down a pretty big deficit in the MaxPreps Mississippi Rankings (they are ranked 165th, while Neshoba Central is ranked fourth). As for Ridgeland, they will look to defend their home court on Tuesday against Warren Central at 6:00 p.m. Warren Central comes in still looking for their first win of the season.
