After a string of four wins, the Karns City Gremlins's good fortune finally ran out on Tuesday. They took a 46-40 hit to the loss column at the hands of Redbank Valley. Karns City lost against Redbank Valley in their previous head to head back in December of 2023, too, but the margin this time around was much wider than the 48-47 score last time.
Redbank Valley got their victory on the backs of several key players, but it was Mylee Harmon out in front who scored 16 points along with five steals. Harmon is absolutely dominating the steal category: she's posted at least two every time she's taken the court this season. The team also got some help courtesy of Adyson Bond, who scored 13 points.
Karns City's loss ended a four-game streak of wins at home dating back to last season and dropped them to 7-4. As for Redbank Valley, the victory (which was their third in a row) raised their record to 10-2.
Karns City has the luxury of staying home another game and will welcome Clarion Area at 6:00 p.m. on January 11th. Clarion Area has been getting the ball to fall more lately as they've increased their point totals each of their last three games. As for Redbank Valley, they will head out on the road to face off against Mercyhurst Prep at 2:00 p.m. on Saturday.
