The St. Lucy's Regents and the St. Genevieve Valiants will face off at 7:00 p.m. on December 13th without much rest after finishing up games yesterday. St. Lucy's has been getting the ball to fall more lately as they've increased their point totals each of their last three games.
St. Lucy's scored the most points they've had all season to find success on Tuesday. They claimed a resounding 51-21 win over Pomona Catholic on the road. The result was nothing new for St. Lucy's, who have now won four games by 24 points or more so far this season.
St. Lucy's win was a true team effort, with many players turning in solid performances. Perhaps the best among them was Nadia Bashoura, who scored 11 points along with eight rebounds. Those 11 points set a new season-high mark for Bashoura. The team also got some help courtesy of Danika Mejico, who scored 15 points along with six rebounds.
Meanwhile, St. Genevieve strolled past La Reina with points to spare on Tuesday, taking the game 44-25. The victory made it back-to-back wins for St. Genevieve.
St. Lucy's win bumped their record up to 7-3. As for St. Genevieve, they are on a roll lately: they've won four of their last five contests, which provided a nice bump to their 4-5 record this season.
