Baseball Recap: Make It Four in a Row for Grace Davis

Grace Davis waltzed into their matchup on Monday with three straight wins... but they left with four. They came within a single run of losing the streak, but they secured a 6-5 W against the Downey Knights. That result was just more of the same for these two, as the Spartans also won the last time the pair played back in May of 2018.

Alex Ceja Gonzalez was excellent, going a perfect 3-for-3 with one stolen base and one run. Landon McCay was another key player, going 2-for-3 with one stolen base, one run, and one RBI.

They weren't the only ones making solid contact: Grace Davis kept the outfield on their toes and finished the game with 11 hits. The team's really been improving in that area: they've now improved their hit total in three consecutive contests.

Grace Davis' record now sits at 12-9. As for Downey, this is the second loss in a row for them and nudges their season record down to 10-12.

Grace Davis didn't take long to hit the field again: they've already played their next game, a 12-4 victory against Modesto Christian on the 22nd. As for Downey, they also wasted no time getting back out on the field and have already played their next matchup, a 5-0 win against Ceres on the 22nd.
