Soccer Recap: Cobalt Institute of Math & Science Academy Plays to a Tie

For the first time since back in December of 2024, Cobalt Institute of Math & Science Academy was forced to settle for a draw on Thursday. Neither they nor the Excelsior Charter Eagles could gain the upper hand so the two teams had to settle for a 2-2 draw.

Esmeralda Jimenez and Chelsie Pacheco scored both of Cobalt Institute of Math & Science Academy's goals, bringing their combined season tally to 19 goals.

Cobalt Institute of Math & Science Academy's draw gives them a new season record of 8-7-2. Meanwhile, Excelsior Charter's record is now 7-7-1.

Cobalt Institute of Math & Science Academy is taking a road trip to take on Academy for Academic Excellence at 3:00 p.m. on Tuesday. Academy for Academic Excellence will be hoping to continue their three-game streak of scoring more goals each matchup than the last. As for Excelsior Charter, they will host University Prep at 3:00 p.m. on Tuesday. University Prep will roll in looking for their seventh straight victory, something Excelsior Charter surely won't give up without a fight.
