East Union has enjoyed the comforts of home their last two games, but now they'll head out on the road. They will take on the Central Catholic Raiders at 7:30 p.m. on Thursday. East Union will be strutting in after a victory while the Raiders will be coming in after a loss.
Last Tuesday, East Union strolled past the Mustangs with points to spare, taking the game 47-31. Given East Union's advantage in MaxPreps' California basketball rankings (they are ranked 138th, while the Mustangs are ranked 740th), the result wasn't entirely unexpected.
Meanwhile, Central Catholic's recent rough patch got a bit rougher on Tuesday after their eighth straight defeat. They took a hard 61-43 fall against Sierra. Central Catholic has not had much luck with the Timberwolves recently, as the team's come up short the last three times they've met.
East Union has been performing incredibly well recently as they've won 16 of their last 17 matches, which provided a nice bump to their 22-4 record this season. As for Central Catholic, their defeat was their fifth straight on the road, which dropped their record down to 8-15.
Everything came up roses for East Union against the Raiders in their previous meeting back in January as the team secured a 65-36 win. With East Union ahead 42-15 at the half, the contest was all but over already.
