After flying high against Southeast Whitfield County last Wednesday, Dalton came back down to earth. The Catamounts fell just short of the Cedartown Bulldogs by a score of 7-5 on Tuesday. The Catamounts' defeat signaled the end of their three-game winning streak.

Caine Woods made the most of his time in the batter's box despite the final result and went 2-for-3 with one home run, three runs, and one double. The team also got some help courtesy of Charles Chappelle, who went 2-for-4 with one home run and three RBI.

Dalton's loss dropped their record down to 17-6. As for Cedartown, the victory snapped their losing streak at three games and leaves them with a 12-9 record.

While Dalton had to take the loss, they won't have to wait long to give it another shot: the pair's next game is a rematch scheduled at 5:00 p.m. on Friday.
