Softball Recap: Cambridge Extends Road Winning Streak to Seven

Cambridge barely beat River Ridge the last time the pair played, but that sure wasn't the case this time around. The Bears' pitchers stepped up to hand the Knights a 6-0 shutout on Monday. Considering the Bears have won six matchups by more than five runs this season, Monday's blowout was nothing new.

Cambridge pushed their record up to 7-1 with the win, which was their seventh straight on the road dating back to last season. The road victories came thanks in part to their pitching effort, having only surrendered 2.7 runs on average over those games. As for River Ridge, they have been struggling recently as they've lost four of their last five games. That's put a noticeable dent in their 4-5 record this season.

Cambridge will be playing in front of their home fans against Mill Creek at 5:00 p.m. on Wednesday. As for River Ridge, they will head out to square off against Pope at 5:30 p.m. on Thursday.
