Zach Richie, surpassed his season average on Saturday by pouring in 48 points during a 92-73 loss to Elkhart Christian Academy (Ind.). The 6-foot-1 guard entered the game with a 43.5 average.

Marquis Teague scored 30 points to lead Pike (Indianapolis) to a 71-61 victory over Lawrence Central (Indianapolis) in the finals of the Marion County Tournament. The outstanding 6-2 senior guard scored 28 points the previous night as Pike ended an 18-game winning streak by defending Class 4A state champion North Central (Indianapolis), 84-77.
* The Oklahoma Secondary School Activities Association has ruled that eighth-grade sensation Allonzo Trier can't play against its member high school teams, which are limited to grades 9-12. The 5-10 guard had been averaging just less than 25 points for the OKC Storm, a home-school power, and played against some Oklahoma high schools until the association was informed. He still has not decided which high school he will attend, according to the Oklahoman.
* Eric Trugg, a 6-10 junior, scored 41 points and pulled down 13 rebounds as Kenston (Chagrin Falls, Ohio) defeated West Geauga (Chesterland, Ohio), 70-54
.* Shawneil Skanes, a 5-10 senior guard, is averaging 39 points for Crooked Oak (Oklahoma City), but still is looking for a college scholarship

Phillip Miller (6-1) is averaging 32.3 points for Carter (Dallas), with high games of 64 and 54 points. He also is shooting a lofty 65 percent from the field and guards each opponent's top player

Anrio Adams is transferring to South Kent (Conn.), according to the Seattle Times. The 6-3 guard was averaging 23 points.

Chase Fischer had 42 points, 12 assists and nine rebounds as Ripley (W.V.) rolled past Greenbrier East (Lewisburg, W.V.), 82-60.
* Lincoln Park (Midland, Pa.) routed Cornell (Coraopolis, Pa.), 66-38, behind
Chaquille Pratt (33 points) and
Devontae Watson, who had a triple-double with 17 points, 21 rebounds and 10 blocks.

Rontray Chavis scored 41 points to lead Princeton (Ind.) to a 79-59 victory over Southridge (Huntingburg, Ind.).
* D.J. Beckman, a 6-2 sophomore, scored 21 of his 26 points in the fourth quarter to spark Shelby (Mich.) to a 62-57 victory over Whitehall (Mich.).
* Standout senior Josiah Turner has been dropped from the Sacramento High (Calif.) team for "violating athletic rules and regulations and team rules and regulations," according to the Sacramento Bee. The 6-3 guard is No. 30 in the
class of 2011 basketball recruiting rankings by MaxPreps.
* Milestone coaching victories were posted last week by Walter Brower of
Hampton (Va.), No. 500; Dave Kleckner of
Etiwanda (Calif.), No. 400; and Mike Szabo of
Trinity (Louisville, Ky.), No. 300.
