The Cambridge Trojans will look to defend their home court on Saturday against the St. Patrick's Irish at 3:00 p.m. Cambridge will be strutting in after a win while the Irish will be coming in after a loss.
Last Tuesday, Cambridge beat the Vikings 37-28.
Cambridge had a senior duo take command as Jalen Kent scored 13 points along with six steals and Brylyn Springer dropped a double-double on 14 points and 16 rebounds. That makes it three consecutive games in which Springer has scored at least a third of Cambridge's points.
Meanwhile, after a string of three wins, St. Patrick's good fortune finally ran out on Tuesday. They fell 39-28 to Paxton.
Cambridge's win bumped their record up to 11-7. As for St. Patrick's, their loss dropped their record down to 4-14.
Cambridge came up short against the Irish in their previous meeting back in February of 2023, falling 47-42. Thankfully for Cambridge, Tonja Heirigs (who scored 24 points along with seven rebounds and seven steals) won't be suiting up this time. Will that be enough to change the final result? There's only one way to find out.
