Even though the Lebanon Yellowjackets have not done well against the Branson Pirates recently (they were 0-7 in their previous seven matchups), they didn't let the past get in their way on Friday. Lebanon sure made it a nail-biter, but they managed to escape with a 48-45 victory over Branson. The victory was all the more spectacular given Lebanon's disadvantage in MaxPreps' Missouri basketball rankings (they are ranked 47th, while Branson is ranked tenth).
Among those leading the charge was Noah Boggs, who scored 18 points. The team also got some help courtesy of Wyatt Carr, who scored 10 points.
The victory (which was Lebanon's third in a row) raised their record to 4-1. Those good results were due in large part to their offensive dominance across that stretch, as they averaged 64.0 points per game. As for Branson, their defeat dropped their record down to 3-1.
Lebanon will be home for the holidays to greet Norwood at 6:00 p.m. on Friday. Norwood has been dominant on offense recently, as they've racked up an incredible 369 points over their last five matchups. As for Branson, they will head out on the road to face off against Logan-Rogersville at 7:15 p.m. on Tuesday.
