The Canyon Crest Academy Ravens's three-game losing streak came to an end on Friday. They came out on top in a nail-biter against Vista and snuck past 53-51. The victory was just what Canyon Crest Academy needed coming off of a 58-26 loss in their prior match.
Canyon Crest Academy's win was a true team effort, with many players turning in solid performances. Perhaps the best among them was Caroline Dysart, who scored 16 points. The team also got some help courtesy of Sofia Colon, who scored 13 points.
Canyon Crest Academy's win ended a three-game drought on the road and puts them at 7-7. As for Vista, their loss ended a five-game streak of wins at home and dropped them to 16-4.
Canyon Crest Academy will take on Chula Vista at 9:00 a.m. on Monday. Hopefully Chula Vista focused on turnovers this week since the team gave up 15 on Friday. As for Vista, they will head out on the road to take on Rancho Buena Vista at 5:30 p.m. on Friday.
