Irwin County dropped down to 18-14 on Wednesday, ending the team's three-game streak of wins. They fell just short of the Baconton Charter Blazers by a score of 4-3. If the Indians were looking for revenge after losing 9-2 to the Blazers when the teams met back in April of 2025, then they'll just have to keep looking.

As for Baconton Charter, the win made it two in a row for them and bumps their season record up to 24-8. For those keeping track at home, that's the closest victory they have posted since March 31st.

For Baconton Charter's part, Hudson Coronati spent all seven innings on the mound, and it's clear why: he surrendered three earned runs on three hits and racked up 11 Ks. Coronati has been consistent recently: he hasn't tossed less than five strikeouts in four consecutive appearances.

At the plate, the team relied heavily on Daniel Cruz, who went 1-for-2 with two RBI and one double. That's the most RBI he has posted since back in March. Another player making a difference was Kayden Logue, who went 1-for-2 with one run and one double.

While Irwin County had to take the loss, they won't have to wait long to give it another shot: the pair will be back at it again later today.
