After a string of five wins, the Concord Yellowjackets's good fortune finally ran out on Friday. They fell just short of Bronson by a score of 45-43. Concord has not had much luck with Bronson recently, as the team's come up short the last six times they've met.
Despite the loss, Concord still got an impressive performance from Grace Thorrez, who dropped a double-double on 14 points and 12 rebounds. The game was Thorrez's third in a row with at least ten points. Maria Stevens was another key contributor, scoring six points along with seven rebounds.
Concord's defeat ended a five-game streak of away wins dating back to last season and brought them to 5-3. As for Bronson, their win was their seventh straight at home dating back to last season, which pushed their record up to 5-0.
Concord will take on Reading at 7:00 p.m. on Tuesday. Hopefully Reading focused on turnovers this week since the team gave up 15 on Friday. As for Bronson, they will head out on the road to face off against Quincy at 7:00 p.m. on Tuesday. Quincy comes in still looking for their first win of the season.
