Football Recap: Apollo Ridge Sets Scoring Season-High Against South Park

Winning is always nice, but doing so behind a season-high score is even better (just ask Apollo Ridge). They came out on top against the South Park Eagles by a score of 45-34 on Friday. The high-scoring effort was just what the Vikings needed considering they were shut out in their previous matchup.

Alex Clawson threw for 162 yards and two touchdowns while completing 75% of his passes. Jaden Mccray was his top target, picking up 113 receiving yards and one TD.

Apollo Ridge has been performing well recently as they've won five of their last six games. That's provided a nice bump to their 6-3 record this season. As for South Park, they now have a losing record of 4-5.

We've got plenty of inter-conference action coming up soon. Apollo Ridge will face off against rival Ligonier Valley at 7:00 p.m. on Friday. Meanwhile, South Park is set to take on their familiar foe Shady Side Academy at 7:00 p.m. on Friday. Considering the Eagles have lost four straight at home and the Bulldogs three straight on the road, this one might come down to who's more desperate to change their momentum.
