Baseball Recap: Bartlett Beats Larkin for Their Fourth Straight Win

Bartlett waltzed into their contest on Wednesday with three straight wins... but they left with four. They blew past the Larkin Royals 12-1. The result was nothing new for the Hawks, who have now won nine games by ten runs or more so far this season.

Josh Colaizzi was incredible, going 2-for-5 with three runs, one stolen base, and two RBI. He is becoming a predictor of Bartlett's success: when he posts at least two runs the team is undefeated (and 4-8 when he doesn't). Another player making a difference was Mason Leiterman, who went 2-for-5 with one run, one double, and one RBI.

Bartlett's victory bumped their record up to 14-8. As for Larkin, they have traveled a rocky road recently, having lost six of their last seven matchups. That's put a noticeable dent in their 6-10 record this season.

Bartlett has already played their next contest, a 5-2 win against Riverside-Brookfield on the 30th. As for Larkin, they also wasted no time getting back out on the field and have already played their next game, a 7-5 defeat against Hoffman Estates on the 2nd.
