The Rocklin Thunder put another one in the bag on Friday to keep their perfect season alive. They came out on top against Placer by a score of 50-39. That result was just more of the same for these two, as Rocklin also won the last time the pair played back in December of 2022.
Rocklin found their leader in underclassman Cara Murphy, who scored 12 points along with 7 assists. Murphy has been hot recently, having posted two or more steals the last three times she's played. Bianca Slone was another key contributor, scoring 8 points along with 11 rebounds and 5 blocks.
Rocklin's win bumped their record up to 4-0. As for Placer, their loss dropped their record down to 3-2.
Rocklin is on the road again on Saturday and play against Colfax at 2:30 p.m. on December 2nd. Hopefully Colfax focused on turnovers this week since the team gave up 18 on Friday. As for Placer, they will take on Granite Bay at 1:00 p.m. on Saturday.
