Softball Recap: Make It Three in a Row for Bethel

Bethel waltzed into their match on Friday with two straight wins... but they left with three. They walked away with a 5-2 victory over the Jones Longhorns. That result was just more of the same for these two, as the Wildcats also won the last time the pair played back in September of 2024.

The team relied heavily on Layla Menhusen, who went a perfect 2-for-2 with one stolen base, two RBI, and one run. She also put up a double, which was her first of the season.

Bethel hit smart and finished the game with only one strikeout. They are a perfect 4-0 when they post two or more strikeouts.

Bethel's win bumped their record up to 5-2. As for Jones, their loss dropped their record down to 3-3.

Looking ahead, Bethel will challenge Morris at 5:00 p.m. on Monday. As for Jones, they will head out to square off against Little Axe at 5:00 p.m. on Monday.
