The Sheldon Huskies lost against the Cosumnes Oaks Wolfpack back in January, and unfortunately they wound up with the same result on Friday. Sheldon took a serious blow against Cosumnes Oaks, falling 75-40. Sheldon has struggled against Cosumnes Oaks recently, as their matchup on Friday was their sixth consecutive lost matchup.
Isabel Tan was her usual excellent self, going 8 for 16 from beyond the arc en route to 31 points and 2 assists for Cosumnes Oaks. Tan is on a roll when it comes to steals, as she's now grabbed two or more in the last seven games she's played. Another player making a difference was Caitlin Subejano, who scored 11 points along with four steals.
Sheldon dropped their record down to 9-19 with that loss, which was their fourth straight on the road. That rough patch could be blamed on the team's offensive performance across that stretch, as they only averaged 29.3 points per game. As for Cosumnes Oaks, they have been performing well recently as they've won four of their last five contests, which provided a nice bump to their 17-11 record this season.
Sheldon does not have any more games scheduled as of now. As for Cosumnes Oaks, they will head out on the road to square off against Antelope at 7:00 p.m. on Wednesday. Cosumnes Oaks is also coming in off of a big victory, so somebody is in for a big reversal of fortune.
