Vance Moe spent all seven innings on the mound, and it's clear why: he surrendered a run (which was unearned) on four hits and racked up 12 Ks. Those 12 strikeouts gave him a new career-high.
On the hitting side, Nolan House was a standout: he scored a run while getting on base in three of his four plate appearances. Another player making a difference was Hunter Adversalo, who went a perfect 2-for-2 with two RBI.
Liberty Ranch always had someone on base and finished the game having posted an OBP of .516. They easily outclassed their opponents in that department as Argonaut only posted an OBP of .231.
Meanwhile, while El Dorado put up some runs on Tuesday, the same can't be said for Galt. El Dorado was the clear victor by a 10-0 margin over Galt. The result was nothing new for the Cougars, who have now won seven games by eight runs or more so far this season.
El Dorado let JJ Allen and Joe Parsons run wild. Allen went 1-for-3 with one home run, three RBI, and two runs, while Parsons went 3-for-4 with three runs, three doubles, and one RBI. El Dorado is undefeated when Allen posts two or more runs, but 2-5 otherwise. Rylan Phillips was another key player, scoring a run and stealing a base while going 2-for-3.
Liberty Ranch pushed their record up to 10-4-1 with the victory, which was their seventh straight at home dating back to last season. Those wins came thanks in part to their hitting performance across that stretch, as they averaged 8.6 runs over those games. As for El Dorado, their record is now 9-5.
Tuesday's contest might come down to which pitcher can control the ball better. Liberty Ranch has hit smart this season, having averaged an OBP of .441. However, it's not like El Dorado struggles in that department as they've averaged .469. With both teams so capable at the plate, fans should be ready for an impressive hitting performance.
