The Chariho Chargers will head out on the road to  square off against  the Woonsocket Villa Novans at 6:30  p.m.  on Monday. Both teams took a loss in their last game, so they'll have plenty of motivation to get the 'W'.
 Chariho couldn't capitalize on their home-field advantage in their season opener. Their  rough  9-3 loss to East Providence  on Friday might stick with them for a while. Chariho has not had much luck with East Providence recently, as the team's come up short the last three times they've met.
 Chariho saw four different players step up and record at least one hit. One of them was  Boone Bessette, who  went 1-for-2 with  an  RBI.
 Meanwhile, Woonsocket didn't have quite enough to beat Johnston on Friday and fell  2-1.
 Chariho suffered a grim  10-0 defeat to Woonsocket  when the teams last played  back in April of 2023. Can Chariho avenge their  defeat or is history doomed to repeat itself? We'll find out soon enough.
