The Desert Christian Knights scored the most points they've had all season to find success on Tuesday. They walked away with a 43-31 victory over St. Monica Academy. Winning may never get old, but Desert Christian sure is getting used to it with their third in a row.
Desert Christian's win was the result of several impressive offensive performances. One of the most notable came from Ava Armstrong, who scored 12 points along with nine steals and five assists. Those 12 points set a new season-high mark for Armstrong. Makenzie Dufee was another key contributor, dropping a double-double on ten points and 11 rebounds.
Desert Christian's victory bumped their record up to 4-5. As for St. Monica Academy, they bumped their record down to 1-7 with that defeat, which was their sixth straight on the road dating back to last season.
Desert Christian will challenge The Palmdale Aerospace Academy at 5:30 p.m. on Monday. St. Monica Academy will be home for the holidays to greet Lancaster Baptist at 4:00 p.m. on Friday. Lancaster Baptist's defense has only allowed 27.2 points per game this season, so St. Monica Academy's offense will have their work cut out for St. Monica Academy.
