Football Recap: Prairie View Piles Up the Points Against Burlington

Prairie View had already proven themselves in the regular season and they didn't miss a beat now that it's playoff time. They took their game on Thursday with ease, bagging a 48-6 victory over the Burlington Wildcats. The Buffalos might be getting used to big wins seeing as the team has won seven contests by 29 points or more this season.

Parker Schwarz was his usual excellent self, rushing for 285 yards and three TDs while picking up 10.6 yards per carry. His rushing production has been exceptional as that marked his seventh straight game with at least 184 rushing yards. Prairie View also got a significant boost from Josh Goodwin, who ran away from the competition to the tune of 83 yards.

Prairie View pushed their record up to 8-1 with the win, which was their fourth straight at home. The team dominated over that stretch too, winning by an average of 31.2 points. As for Burlington, this is the second loss in a row for them and nudges their season record down to 2-7.

Coming up, Prairie View will take on Jefferson West on Friday. Burlington does not have any more games scheduled as of now.
