After losing to the Orange Lutheran Lancers the last time they met, the Esperanza Aztecs decided to demonstrate that turnabout is fair play. Esperanza secured a 55-50 W over Orange Lutheran on Thursday. The victory made it back-to-back wins for Esperanza.
Multiple players turned in solid performances to lead Esperanza to victory, but perhaps none more so than Madilyn Lam, who scored 16 points along with 7 rebounds and 5 steals. That makes it six consecutive games in which Lam has scored at least 25% of Esperanza's points. Charlotte Muller was another key contributor, scoring 15 points along with 3 steals.
Esperanza's win bumped their record up to 5-1. As for Orange Lutheran, their loss dropped their record down to 5-3.
Esperanza's road trip will continue as they head out to face Leuzinger at 4:00 p.m. on December 9th. Leuzinger is strutting with some offensive muscle, as they've averaged 60.6 points per game. As for Orange Lutheran, they will head out on the road to face off against Long Beach Poly on Saturday.
