Baseball Recap: Ithaca Makes It Six in a Row on the Road

Ithaca barely beat Weston the last time the pair played, but that sure wasn't the case this time around. The Bulldogs never let the Silver Eagles get on the board and left with a 6-0 win on Monday. Considering the Bulldogs have won seven contests by more than five runs this season, Monday's blowout was nothing new.

Ithaca pushed their record up to 13-4 with the victory, which was their sixth straight on the road. Those road wins came thanks in part to their hitting performance across that stretch, as they averaged 8.5 runs over those games. As for Weston, they have traveled a rocky road recently, having lost four of their last five games. That's put a noticeable dent in their 7-10 record this season.

Ithaca will head out to take on Wauzeka-Steuben at 5:00 p.m. on Thursday. The Hornets have struggled to contain batters this season (they've allowed 7.06 runs per game on average), something the Bulldogs will no doubt try to take advantage of. As for Weston, they will be playing at home against Kickapoo at 5:00 p.m. on Thursday.
