Basketball Recap: Alexa Hall Leads a Balanced Attack to Beat Walnut Street Christian

After having lost a blowout in their previous game against Johnstown Christian, Great Commission was happy to have turned things around on Monday. They enjoyed a cozy 49-31 victory over Walnut Street Christian.

Great Commission got their win on the backs of several key players, but it was Alexa Hall out in front who went 7 for 17 on her way to 17 points in addition to six assists and six steals. Hall is on a roll when it comes to steals, as she's now grabbed three or more in the last four games she's played. The team also got some help courtesy of Ava Bordack, who posted ten points along with seven rebounds and six assists.

Hall wasn't the only one working in the assists department: Great Commission was working as a unit and finished the game with 17 assists. That's the most assists they've managed all season.

Great Commission is on a roll lately: they've won three of their last four contests, which provided a massive bump to their 6-9 record this season. As for Walnut Street Christian, they are on a three-game losing streak that has dropped them down to 0-3.

Both teams will have to hit the road in their upcoming games. Great Commission will take on Clearfield Alliance Christian at 5:30 p.m. on February 11th. As for Walnut Street Christian, they will face off against Juniata Christian at 6:00 p.m. on Friday. Walnut Street Christian is facing Juniata Christian at the right time seeing as Juniata Christian is stuck on a six-game losing streak.
