Saint Mary waltzed into their contest on Friday with four straight wins... but they left with five. Their pitchers stepped up to hand the Hercules Titans a 10-0 shutout. The Panthers might be getting used to big wins seeing as the team has won eight matchups by seven runs or more this season.

Cody Wegner looked comfortable as he struck out seven batters over three innings while giving up no earned runs off one hit (and not a single walk). He has been consistent recently: he hasn't given up more than one walk in three consecutive appearances.

Saint Mary's always had someone on base and finished the game having posted an OBP of .516. They easily outclassed their opponents in that department as Hercules only posted an OBP of .150.

Saint Mary's victory bumped their record up to 18-6. As for Hercules, they have been struggling recently as they've lost 14 of their last 15 games. That's put a noticeable dent in their 3-22 record this season.
