The St. Anthony Saints's game last Tuesday was a tough loss, but they didn't let that memory haunt them on Thursday. They enjoyed a cozy 76-58 victory over St. Mary's Academy. Having run the score up that high, both teams probably have some extra defensive drills coming up.
Ryann Bennett was her usual excellent self, scoring 23 points along with five assists and five steals. She continues to roll, besting her previous point total in each of the last three games she's played. Kadence Lloyd was another key contributor, dropping a double-double on 13 points and ten rebounds.
St. Anthony's victory bumped their record up to 17-7. As for St. Mary's Academy, their defeat dropped their record down to 14-9.
St. Anthony will head out on the road to take on King/Drew at 5:00 p.m. on Saturday. As for St. Mary's Academy, they will be playing at home against St. Paul at 7:00 p.m. on Tuesday. St. Paul will have to bring their A-game into this one, as they are staring down a pretty big deficit in the MaxPreps California Rankings (they are ranked 288th, while St. Mary's Academy is ranked 73rd).
