The Frontier Titans will be playing in front of their home fans against the Ridgeview Wolf Pack at 6:30 p.m. on Friday.
Frontier has been a dominant force so far, but they're in the middle of a mini-slump at the moment. They fell to Centennial 48-42. While losing is never fun, Frontier can't take it too hard given the team's big disadvantage in MaxPreps' California basketball rankings (they are ranked 425th, while Centennial is ranked 177th).
Alexis Tinnin put forth a good effort for the losing side as she dropped a double-double on 22 points and 12 rebounds. She has been hot recently, having posted 15 or more points the last three times she's played. Lailene Araniva was another key contributor, scoring nine points along with 12 rebounds and three steals.
Meanwhile, Ridgeview scored the most points they've had all season to find success on Wednesday. They breezed by Highland at home to the tune of 67-11. Ridgeview has made a habit of sweeping their opponents off the court, having now won six games by 26 points or more this season.
Frontier's defeat ended a three-game streak of away wins and brought them to 15-7. As for Ridgeview, the win was the third in a row for them, bringing their record for this year to 11-9.
Frontier didn't have too much breathing room in their contest against Ridgeview in their previous matchup on January 10th, but they still walked away with a 50-46 victory. One of the biggest obstacles the team faced in that game was Ridgeview's Aubrey Aldan, who scored 13 points along with eight rebounds and three steals. Now that she's got a second chance to win this matchup, will Frontier still be able to contain him? Check MaxPreps.com after the match to find out.
