Antlers had lost 15 games on the road dating back to last season, but after bumping their record up to 2-8 on Monday that streak is in the rearview. Everything went their way against the Whitesboro Bulldogs as they made off with an 11-5 win. The high-scoring effort was just what the Bearcats needed considering they were shut out in their previous contest.
K Martinez spent all seven innings on the mound, and it's clear why: she surrendered four earned (and one unearned) runs on three hits and racked up 12 Ks.
At the plate, K Callahan and R Crounch did most of the damage at the plate: Callahan got on base in three of her four plate appearances with one stolen base, one run, and one double, while Crounch earned one RBI, two runs, and two stolen bases. The team also got some help courtesy of Ad Bryson, who went 1-for-3 with three stolen bases and two runs.
Antlers always had someone on base and finished the game having posted an OBP of .541. They easily outclassed their opponents in that department as Whitesboro only posted an OBP of .300.
