After losing to the James Lick Comets the last time they met, the Mountain View Spartans decided to demonstrate that turnabout is fair play. Mountain View blew past James Lick 79-9 at home. The matchup was pretty much decided by the half, when the score had already reached 51-1.
Multiple players turned in solid performances to lead Mountain View to victory, but perhaps none more so than Alana Hernandez, who scored 18 points along with 3 steals. Another player making a difference was Liz Cardenas, who scored 12 points along with 5 rebounds and 5 steals.
The victory makes it two in a row for Mountain View and bumps their season record up to 2-0. As for James Lick, their defeat dropped their record down to 0-1.
Both teams will have to hit the road in their upcoming games. Mountain View will take on Monte Vista Christian at 7:00 p.m. on November 29th. As for James Lick, they will head out on the road to face off against Independence at 7:00 p.m. on November 30th.
