The Campbell Hall Vikings suffered their biggest defeat yet this season on Tuesday. They were outmatched by Brentwood School on the road and fell 65-32. The defeat unfortunately continues a disappointing trend for Campbell Hall in their matchups with Brentwood School: they've now lost six in a row.
Lailaa Williams and Charlotte Weinberger certainly did their best on Tuesday to try and avoid the loss. Williams scored 12 points along with nine rebounds and two steals, while Weinberger scored four points.
Brentwood School's win was a true team effort, with many players turning in solid performances. Perhaps the best among them was Lev Feiman, who scored 13 points along with nine rebounds and four steals. Feiman is on a roll when it comes to steals, as she's now grabbed two or more in the last three games she's played. Another player making a difference was Reena White, who scored 13 points.
Campbell Hall has not been sharp recently, as they've lost six of their last seven matches, which put a noticeable dent in their 6-12 record this season. As for Brentwood School, they pushed their record up to 12-6 with that win, which was their third straight at home.
Both squads are looking forward to the support of their home crowds in their upcoming games. Campbell Hall will take on Windward at 5:30 p.m. on Thursday. Windward presents a significant challenge as they come into the match much higher ranked than Campbell Hall in California (Windward is ranked 17th, while Campbell Hall is ranked 531st). Brentwood School won't have much time to rest: their next match is against Rolling Hills Prep at 6:00 p.m. on January 10th.
