While the Oak Grove Eagles's win against the Silver Creek Raiders wasn't quite the blowout they won the last time the pair played, they still came away the winners. Oak Grove narrowly escaped with a win as the team sidled past Silver Creek 50-48. The victory made it back-to-back wins for Oak Grove.
Emilie Ngo was her usual excellent self, scoring 19 points. That makes it 14 consecutive games in which she has scored at least a third of Oak Grove's points. Another player making a difference was Maleya Balinton, who scored ten points.
Oak Grove is on a roll lately: they've won six of their last eight matches, which provided a massive bump to their 12-10 record this season. As for Silver Creek, their defeat was their fifth straight at home, which dropped their record down to 7-16.
Oak Grove will take on Willow Glen at 5:30 p.m. on Monday. Hopefully Willow Glen focused on turnovers this week since the team gave up 13 on Thursday. As for Silver Creek, they will head out on the road to face off against Piedmont Hills at 7:00 p.m. on Tuesday. Silver Creek is facing Piedmont Hills at the right time seeing as Piedmont Hills is stuck on a four-game losing streak.
