The Shanley Deacons will face off against the Fargo Davies Eagles at 7:00 p.m. on Friday. Shanley is currently enjoying a perfect season and no doubt want to keep things rolling.
Shanley can now show off seven landslide victories after their most recent contest on Friday. They blew past West Fargo 50-14 at home.
Landon Meier was his usual excellent self, throwing for 337 yards and five touchdowns while picking up 10.9 yards per attempt, and also punching in two touchdowns on the ground. Shanley also got help from Sam Ovsak who showed off his sure hands for 90 receiving yards.
Meanwhile, Fargo Davies faced Bismarck in a battle between two of the state's top teams. Fargo Davies walked away with a 15-7 win over Bismarck on Friday. The victory made it back-to-back wins for Fargo Davies.
Fargo Davies' win was the result of several impressive offensive performances. One of the most notable came from Grant Tschosik, who picked up 94 receiving yards and a touchdown. Tschosik's longest reception was for an incredible 87 yards. Another player making a difference was Zach Lilly, who rushed for 127 yards.
Shanley's win was their seventh straight at home (dating back to last season), bumping their overall record up to 10-0. As for Fargo Davies, they are on a roll lately: they've won three of their last four matches, which provided a nice bump to their 5-4 record this season.
Shanley strolled past Fargo Davies in their previous matchup back in October by a score of 42-28. Does Shanley have another victory up their sleeve, or will Fargo Davies turn the tables on them? We'll have the answer soon enough.
