There's no place like home for the Lynwood Knights, who bounced back after a tough loss on the road last Wednesday. They walked away with a 55-48 win over Paramount on Friday. That result was just more of the same for these two, as Lynwood also won the last time the pair played back in February of 2023.
Lynwood's victory was a true team effort, with many players turning in solid performances. Perhaps the best among them was Shanilah Ewing, who scored 14 points along with five rebounds and two steals. Skyy Simmons was another key contributor, scoring 13 points along with seven rebounds.
Lynwood pushed their record up to 10-10 with that victory, which was their eighth straight at home dating back to last season. Those good results were due in large part to their offensive dominance across that stretch, as they averaged 56.9 points per game. As for Paramount, this is the second loss in a row for them and nudges their season record down to 17-6.
Lynwood won't have much time to rest: their next matchup is against Bishop Gorman at 5:00 p.m. on January 13th. Bishop Gorman has been dominant on offense recently, as they've racked up an incredible 269 points over their last four matchups. As for Paramount, they will look to defend their home court on Wednesday against Gahr at 5:15 p.m. Gahr will have to bring their A-game into this one, as they are staring down a pretty big deficit in the MaxPreps California Rankings (they are ranked 263rd, while Paramount is ranked 47th).
