The Dunsmuir Tigers were the 37-36 winner over Non Varsity Opponent when they last played one another back in December of 2022, but their luck changed this time around. Dunsmuir fell just short of Non Varsity Opponent by a score of 33-30. Dunsmuir has now taken an 'L' in back-to-back games.
Despite the loss, Dunsmuir still got an impressive performance from Cyla Clemens, who scored 22 points along with 5 steals. Clemens scored a full 73.3% of Dunsmuir's points, the second time in a row she's earned more than a third of the team's points.
Dunsmuir's defeat dropped their record down to 0-2. As for Non Varsity Opponent, the win makes it two in a row for them and bumps their season record up to 25-56.
Dunsmuir will head out on the road to face off against Hayfork at 5:30 p.m. on Tuesday. Hayfork is still on the hunt for that elusive first 'W'. As for Non Varsity Opponent, they will square off against Elida at 8:30 a.m. on Thursday.
