Softball Recap: Papillion-Lavista South Has No Trouble Against Norfolk

Papillion-LaVista South lost to Norfolk on Wednesday, but they didn't allow them the same satisfaction on Thursday. The Titans blew past the Panthers 9-1. The result was nothing new for the Titans, who have now won 13 matchups by six runs or more so far this season.

Papillion-LaVista South got a great performance from Hailey Rasmussen as she pitched five innings while giving up just one earned run off one hit.

At the plate, Jo Warriner was incredible, going 2-for-3 with three RBI, two runs, and one triple. Kaitlyn Herd was another key player, going 2-for-3 with two RBI, one run, and one double.

Papillion-LaVista South kept the outfield on their toes and finished the game with 12 hits. That strong performance was nothing new for the team: they've now got at least eight hits in eight consecutive contests.

Papillion-LaVista South has been performing incredibly well recently as they've won six of their last seven games. That's provided a nice bump to their 18-13 record this season. Those victories came thanks in part to their pitching effort, having only surrendered 2.4 runs on average over those games. As for Norfolk, this is the second loss in a row for them and nudges their season record down to 16-22.

Papillion-LaVista South has already played their next matchup, a 7-2 loss against Lincoln Southwest on the 9th. Norfolk does not have any more games scheduled as of now.
